Update Day 8 after Bob's Fall
Eight days after the fall, coming home tonight without him was so sad. Bob was transferred to an acute rehab facility in south county and now the girls and I are home. Bob had a busy day after the transfer with evaluations and therapy. Sometime Friday we will know the plan and length of his stay. I have stayed with him almost every night since the accident. As I left I prayed for God Almighty to be Bob’s strength, comfort and healer. Counting the blessings: he is close to home, the girls and I can walk through these next steps together, the EMT who rode with Bob was an Armenian and they had a great hour talking about life. I was able to attend Sophie’s basketball game and Lindy and Abby’s last day of school air guitar performances. Prayer requests: pain and dizziness. He had another bad experience with PT in the Pasadena hospital and as a result, Bob’s pain has increased. This new place has already built his trust in their PT program - that is a praise. The dizziness continues and some testing will be done to determine the core issue. And finally please pray for the girls as we prepare for a unique Christmas with Daddy in rehab. We decided to make it an adventure year with some creative new things. Yes Bob and I are embracing the fact that it could have been so much worse and he WILL recover in a couple months but thinking beyond Christmas Day is hard at their age. (I love you honey, goodnight.)
