About Me
Truthfully, the ‘About Me’ section is definitely not in my comfort zone ‐ which might tell you a little something about me. So let me share a story from not too long ago:
The setting - Bob, my confidant and handsome husband of 19 years, escorted his four girls to Nancy G’s restaurant in Atlanta. His four girls include me and our three daughters. The restaurant covers its tables with butcher paper and crayons. Sophie, our oldest, creatively wrote descriptive words for each of us.
Sophie: “I am ???”
Lindy: “she is cute”
Abigail: “she is creative”
Daddy: “he is handsome”
Mommy: “she is fun”
Fun!! Did my preteen just say I was fun? My heart did the happy dance. I love fun; but, wouldn’t necessarily use it to describe me.
However, other words I might use: creative, dramatic, energetic, an active listener, eager helper, deep thinker, passionate mom and loyal friend. I am also someone who takes something complicated and simplifies it.
And, may I add, my most favorite place on earth is Disneyland. If you invite me to coffee, I’ll ask if you have a pass and want to meet at the Jolly Holiday ‐ right at the end of Main Street!
Okay, okay, what you really want to know is why I am writing this blog? Simply because I am passionate about parents KNOWING THEY CAN DO IT! I have tons of experience communicating with kids – all kinds of kids – and I want to share all of this with you. I plan to take you on an exciting journey, one step at a time, to ensure you are constantly arriving at new and inspirational destinations.
Born and raised in Southern California, I moved to Atlanta Georgia to become Minister to Families at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, 18 months later we find ourselves back home in San Clemente, CA.
